Music Track Name: Journey to Sanctuary

Track Composer: John Massari

What story and emotions does this track provide?

The emotion provided are hope, determination, A will to fight and going on a Journey.

Describe how the score relates to the visuals?  (Does it complement the visuals or is it the polar opposite?  Is it upbeat or laidback? Etc.)

It has a Star Wars or Star Trac feel to it. I think that is perfect for the game being that it is an alien fighting game. The artist did not provide a tempo but it has an upbeat war march feel to it. The down side to it is that over some time this may get aggravating over time after play the game for time.

What is the function of the music score?  Does the score highlight the tension of the game, or is it more comical?

I think it could highlight the game and make it interesting and engaging for the gamer. It makes the gamer feel like he or she is in a major fight for humanity.

How are your Sound Effects affected by the music key and instrumentation of the music score?  How will your Sound Effects need to be adjusted?

The sound effects should work fine, there should be no clashing of sound. I think the volume for the sound effects need to be louder to have the perfect blend for the music score.

What story and emotions does this track provide?

This track provides a futuristic sound that will give the gamer a other worldly feel. The game being set in a future time and planet this track will work. The down fall is that I don’t think that it fully does the game any justice, being a track that would be good for a pop star I think the gamer would turn the music game sound off.

Describe how the score relates to the visuals?  (Does it complement the visuals or is it the polar opposite?  Is it upbeat or laidback? Etc.)

I don't think the Track will provide the what we are looking for, its a mid tempo track that could get receptive over time if looped. Though I like the futuristic feel, I don’t like the storyline that the song provides. Providing better more of a happy dance track I don’t think this would be a good choice of song.

What is the function of the music score?  Does the score highlight the tension of the game, or is it more comical?

I think this track is more comical and does not give the gamer the feel of  fighting an alien. Once again I like the futuristic sound of this track, I just don't think the track provides the gaming experience we are looking for.

How are your Sound Effects affected by the music key and instrumentation of the music score?  How will your Sound Effects need to be adjusted?

I with the high pitch instruments that the track provides there make be some clashing of high pitch frequencies. Once again the volume will have to be rise up to get the perfect blend.

What story and emotions does this track provide?

I think this track fits the game perfect, giving the gamer the feeling of action, suspense, and the will to fight and win.

Describe how the score relates to the visuals?  (Does it complement the visuals or is it the polar opposite?  Is it upbeat or laidback? Etc.)

I think the track provides the perfect picture. With a slow or laid-back  tempo I think it will be noticeable but not enough to make it displeasing to the gamer.

What is the function of the music score?  Does the score highlight the tension of the game, or is it more comical?

I think this track provide the perfect picture for game. It gives the perfect tension for the game. With suspense it drives the gamer to keep playing, its almost inviting. When I heard the track I thought of the game Halo, this track is a very good for the experience for the gamer.

How are your Sound Effects affected by the music key and instrumentation of the music score?  How will your Sound Effects need to be adjusted?

I think score is perfect it should not clash with any of the sound effect. The volume is a bit loud so you mite have to bring the volume up.
